IN RE:
HB469 by Springer (Relating to the sale of wine and beer on Sundays.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code as it relates to the sale of beer and wine by certain permit and license holders on Sundays. According to the Comptroller, the bill would have no significant impact on state revenues. This analysis assumes Texas residents are aware of the current law, and that any off-premise beer and wine sales that would occur on Sunday morning would otherwise have occurred on another day of the week. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission anticipates that the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact. The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
