No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Family Code to require the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to modify the substitute care capacity plan to include the capacity and geographical distribution of foster placements to serve the needs of pregnant and parenting youth in the conservatorship of DFPS.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
It is assumed that the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
