No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code to require the Department of Family and Protective Services to provide children in conservatorship who are pregnant or are minor parents, information on and support in providing safe environments for children.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
It is assumed that the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
