IN RE:
HB553 by Thompson, Senfronia (Relating to notice regarding summer weekend possession of a child under a standard possession order in a suit affecting the parent-child relationship.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code to require that, for weekends designated during the summer, a possessory conservator give written notice to the managing conservator the location at which the managing conservator is to pick up and return the child. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
