IN RE:
HB567 by Capriglione (Relating to adjustment of a school district's wealth per student under the school finance system to reflect campus security costs.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would adjust a school district's wealth per student used to calculate a school district's recapture payments to deduct the amount of revenue per student in weighted average daily attendance expended by the district to pay campus security costs during the preceding school year.
Based on information provided by the Texas Education Agency, this analysis assumes the fiscal impact of implementing the legislation would not be significant.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
Under the provisions of the bill, districts subject to recapture could have reduced recapture payments.
