No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to require the Texas Department of Criminal Justice
(TDCJ) to maintain record of certain inmates, as outlined in the bill. The bill would require TDCJ to submit a report annually. TDCJ states that no significant fiscal impact is anticipated. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2019.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
