No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Water Code concerning the regulation and permitting associated with treated brackish groundwater by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Based on the analysis of TCEQ, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
