No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would establish the Texas Pay Equity Task Force to study whether a disparity exists on the basis of gender or race in compensation paid to employees of state agencies, counties, and municipalities. The bill would require the task force to submit a report on the study and recommendations not later than November 1, 2020.
