Honorable James B. Frank, Chair, House Committee on Human Services
FROM:
John McGeady, Assistant Director Sarah Keyton, Assistant Director Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB767 by Davis, Sarah (Relating to the evaluation of and reporting on certain Medicaid waiver projects.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would direct the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to require entities implementing waiver projects to submit an evaluation meeting certain parameters to the agency. The bill would require HHSC to submit the evaluations and the agency's recommendations regarding continuing the waiver projects to certain standing committees of the legislature and post the materials on the agency's website. HHSC estimates there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill. It is assumed that costs could be absorbed within existing agency resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
