No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to extend the statute of limitations for trafficking of persons and sexual performance by a child. The Office of Court Administration and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice indicate the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources. This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill addressing felony sanctions for criminal offenses would not result in a significant impact on state correctional agencies.
