No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Based on analysis by the Secretary of State, it is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to election records could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
According to the Texas Association of Counties, a fiscal impact on counties is anticipated due to the requirement to store additional election materials. However, the extent of that impact cannot be determined at this time.
