No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to limit the liability of an owner, lessee, or manager of a property who allows the carrying of handguns, by licensed holders, by not posting the notices required in the Penal Code. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
