IN RE:
HB1168 by Anchia (Relating to the offense of possessing a weapon in a secured area of an airport.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Penal Code as it relates to the definition of a secured area of an airport where a person commits an offense for possession of certain weapons, and provides exception to application of the offense for persons under specific circumstances.
The Office of Court Administration anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the state court system. The Comptroller of Public Accounts indicates the fiscal impact on the state cannot be determined. The provisions of the bill addressing felony sanctions for criminal offenses would not result in a significant impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
