IN RE:
HB1235 by Bell, Cecil (Relating to the issuance by a state agency of a permit required for the construction of a high-speed rail project by a private entity.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Subchapter A, Chapter 112, Transportation Code, to stipulate that a state agency may issue permit required for the construction of a high-speed rail project by a private entity only if the entity meets all requirements of or conditions associated with the permit before issuance of the permit.
Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Transportation and the Parks and Wildlife Department, it is assumed implementation of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal or operational impact to the State or state agencies.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
