IN RE:
HB1283 by Hernandez (Relating to the authority of the Department of Information Resources to provide telecommunications services through statewide technology centers.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Subchapter L, pertaining to statewide technology centers, of Chapter 2054 of the Government Code to authorize the Department of Information Resources (DIR) to provide on a cost-sharing basis telecommunications services, advanced communications services, and information services, as those terms are defined by 47 U.S.C. Section 153, through a statewide technology center. DIR indicates that costs to implement the bills provisions would be absorbed within existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
