HB1303 by Zwiener (Relating to signs along certain roads in Hays County.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to extend an existing prohibition on the erection of commercial signs along certain roadways to include additional roadways. Signs that are currently erected along those roads would be "grandfathered" and remain along those highways with limited ability to rebuild and repair.

According to the Department of Transportation,  the bill would have a minimal fiscal impact that could be absorbed with existing resources is anticipated to implement the bill. The agency would need to update its regulatory maps and other material.

Local Government Impact

According to the Department of Transportation, no fiscal impact is anticipated to local governmental entities.
