Fiscal Analysis

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to charge an application fee of $2,000 for a municipal solid waste facility permit.
 
The bill would take effect on September 1, 2019.

Methodology

Based on information provided by the Comptroller of Public Accounts and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, this estimate assumes 11 applications for municipal solid waste facility permits would be submitted each fiscal year with an application fee of $2,000 each for total annual revenue of $22,000 deposited to the credit of the General Revenue Fund.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
