No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to establish that in the event of filing of a bankruptcy petition by a railroad company an option contract held by the company to acquire real property for a high-speed rail project is void.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
