HB1370 by Harris (Relating to the creation of a joint interim committee on high-speed rail development.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would establish a joint interim committee on high-speed rail development composed of members of the House and Senate and establish charges for the committee, including a report to the Legislature addressing the feasibility of a statewide high-speed rail initiative and proposing a statewide strategy for high-speed rail development in Texas. The bill would require the committee to work with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to develop the statewide strategy. The committee would be abolished on January 1, 2021.
