HB1398 by Smith (Relating to the appointment of bailiffs by the district courts and county courts at law in Grayson County.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the appointment and salary of bailiffs employed by the 15th, 59th, and 397th District Courts. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
 
The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
