HB1415 by Lucio III (Relating to continuing education training on civil process for constables.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require that during each continuing education training period, constables must complete at least 20 hours of continuing education instruction on civil process to be provided by a public institution of higher education selected by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).

Based on the analysis provided by institutions of higher education and TCOLE, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2019.
