April 22, 2019

TO:
Honorable Dan Huberty, Chair, House Committee on Public Education

FROM:
John McGeady, Assistant Director     Sarah Keyton, Assistant Director
Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB1416 by Lucio III ( relating to requirements for building construction contracts entered into by public school districts.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

It is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to requirements for building construction contracts entered into by public school districts could be absorbed using existing resources. This analysis assumes the bill would not require the Texas Education Agency to conduct compliance monitoring activities following rule review and adoption.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
