No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to inspect a facility or site before a permit for a proposed municipal solid waste management facility is issued, amended, extended or renewed.
Based on the analysis of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
