No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Business and Commerce Code related to a prohibition against covenants not to compete for independent contractors in connection with oil and gas operations. Based on analysis of the Railroad Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

According to the Texas Association of Counties, no fiscal implication to counties is anticipated.
