IN RE:
HB1528 by Rose (Relating to the reporting of certain information involving family violence offenses.), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

It is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to the reporting of certain information involving family violence offenses could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

According to the Office of Court Administration, while the reporting requirement for misdemeanors punishable by fine-only may be a new reporting requirement, any anticipated increase in workload is anticipated to be absorbed with existing resources. Therefore, no significant fiscal impact to local courts is anticipated.

According to the Department of Public Safety, there may be costs for local entities who choose to procure compatible Livescan devices, but those costs are unknown.
