No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to the statute of limitations applicable to a sexual harassment complaint filed with the Texas Workforce Commission. Based on the analysis of the Texas Workforce Commission, it is assumed that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
 
The bill applies only to a sexual harassment complaint based on conduct occurring on or after September 1, 2019.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
