No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) to conduct a study and submit a report on the use of automated driving systems and connected driving systems technologies to alleviate traffic congestion at points of entry between Texas and the United States of Mexico.

Based on the information provided by TxDOT and DPS, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
