HB1801 by Goldman (Relating to requirements for and municipal regulation of dogs in an outdoor dining area of a food service establishment.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to allow a food establishment to permit customers to bring a dog into an outdoor dining area under certain conditions and prohibits municipal regulations that are more stringent than the bill.  The bill does not apply to service animals.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Municipal League, the bill would not have a significant fiscal impact on municipalities.
