No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would expand the allowable use of water withdrawn from the Edwards Aquifer related to a retail public utility. The Public Utility Commission of Texas anticipates that this bill would have no significant fiscal impact and that provisions could be implemented within existing resources.
Local Government Impact
According to Edwards Aquifer Authority and the City of San Antonio, no fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
