No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to modify certain established disciplinary procedures for fire fighters.

According to the Commission on Fire Protection, no fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Municipal League, the bill provides for the implementation of rules for dealing with firefighter misconduct. There would be a fiscal impact from developing and implementing these rules. There could be an additional fiscal impact were cities to experience more challenges to employment decisions. 

According to the Texas Association of counties, the bill would have no fiscal impact to counties.
