IN RE:
HB1896 by Phelan (Relating to the applicability of the requirements relating to the adoption of a new state agency rule by the Parks and Wildlife Department.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to exempt the Parks and Wildlife Department from the provision barring state agencies from adopting rules that have a fiscal note showing the rule imposes a cost on regulated persons.

According to the Comptroller of Public Accounts, the bill is not expected to have significant revenue implications to the state. Based on analysis of the Parks and Wildlife Department, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
