HB1909 by Moody (Relating to the criminal jurisdiction of magistrates appointed by the El Paso Council of Judges.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to add certain magistrates to the statutory list of magistrates.  The bill would also add certain magistrates to the list of courts that have jurisdiction in criminal actions.

According to the Office of Court Administration (OCA), no significant impact to the state court system is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

According to OCA, no significant fiscal impact to local courts is anticipated.
