No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code relating to a state plan for education on and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. The bill would require the Department of State Health Services to seek comments from interested parties, review and modify the state plan at least once every five years, and submit a report to the legislature no later than September 1 each even-numbered year. The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
The Department of State Health Services indicates the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources.
