No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code and Natural Resources Code related to the right of property owners to file complaints against certain entities regulated by the Railroad Commission regarding alleged misconduct by the entities while exercising eminent domain authority. The bill would take effect January 1, 2020.

The Railroad Commission and the Office of the Attorney General indicated any costs associated with implementing the bill provisions could be absorbed with current resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
