IN RE:
HB1968 by Anderson, Charles "Doc" (Relating to coverage for treatment of craniofacial abnormalities under certain health benefit plans.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to coverage for treatment of craniofacial abnormalities under certain health benefit plans. Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance and Employees Retirement System, this analysis assumes that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

According to the Health and Human Services Commission, Medicaid is required by federal law to provide all medically necessary services to children, which should include the services required by the bill; therefore, no fiscal impact is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
