No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Water Code as it applies to the Texas Water Development Board to repeal certain meetings and reports, including an annual meeting between TWDB and the Texas Department of Agriculture on issues involving colonias, a water conservation study conducted jointly between TWDB and the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board, and a report on best management practices in water conservation plans. TWDB has indicated that the provisions of the bill could be implemented with existing resources.
