IN RE:	HB1992 by Leman (Relating to prohibiting telemarketers from transmitting misleading caller identification information or otherwise misrepresenting the origin of a telemarketing call.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Based on the analysis of the Office of Attorney General (OAG), the bill may result in new complaints, investigations and cases.  However, OAG indicates that this increase can be absorbed by current resources.

The Public Utility Commission anticipates that any work resulting from the bill would be absorbed within existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2019. 

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
