IN RE:
HB2065 by Lucio III (Relating to the use of general revenue appropriations for the artificial reef program.), As Passed 2nd House
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Parks and Wildlife Code to allow the Legislature to appropriate money from General Revenue for salaries and benefits of state employees implementing the state artificial reef plan. Although the bill would not make an appropriation, it would establish the basis for an appropriation. The bill would take effect immediately upon a two-thirds vote, or on September 1, 2019.
The bill would amend the Parks and Wildlife Code related to a waiver of certain state park fees for certain children.
Based on analysis of the Parks and Wildlife Department and the Comptroller of Public Accounts, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provision of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
