No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Education Code relating to authorization by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for South Texas College to offer baccalaureate degree programs. While the provisions of the bill could potentially result in an increase in formula funding by the state, this analysis assumes that because only one public junior college would be impacted, the fiscal implication to the State would not be significant.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
