IN RE:
HB2195 by Meyer (Relating to an active shooter emergency policy for school districts and required active shooter training for school district peace officers and school resource officers. ), As Passed 2nd House
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
It is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to an active shooter emergency policy for school districts and required active shooter training for school district peace officers and school resource officers could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
The bill would require school districts to include a policy for responding to active shooters in their multihazard emergency operations plans. School resource and peace officers would have to complete active shooter response training. School districts could see increased training costs for school resource and peace officers.
