No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

It is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to providing information and communication regarding and during a disaster could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Municipal League, no significant fiscal implication to cities is anticipated.

Harris County anticipates a fiscal impact, but the amount cannot be determined at this time.

Aransas County anticipates a fiscal impact of $124,137 in the first year and between $111,609 and $117,156 annually thereafter due to additional staff, a one-time capital purchase, and recurring operating costs.
