TO:

IN RE:
HB2330 by Walle (Relating to a study of an intake system and state case management system for state and federal disaster assistance.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and Texas Division of Emergency Management to study the feasibility of developing a single intake form for multiple state and federal disaster assistance programs, an automated intake system, and a state case management system for disaster assistance, similar to one operated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, that would be operated by HHSC. The commission and division would submit a written report of their findings to the legislature not later than September 1, 2020.

It is assumed that the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
