IN RE:
HB2335 by Walle (Relating to the disaster supplemental nutrition assistance program.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 33 of the Human Resources Code to require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to collaborate with county judges on the benefit application process for the disaster supplemental nutrition assistance program. In addition, the bill would require HHSC to assess and consult with federal officials regarding amending certain aspects of the process. HHSC indicates it could absorb the costs associated with the bill within its current resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
