IN RE:
HB2342 by Dutton (Relating to the places where certain knives are prohibited.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Penal Code as it relates to prohibitions against certain knives on certain premises. Under the provisions of the bill, the carry of such knives would no longer be prohibited on certain premises.
The Comptroller of Public Accounts and the Office of Court Administration do not anticipate any significant fiscal implications to the state resulting from the modifications outlined in the provisions of the bill. This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill addressing sanctions for criminal offenses would not result in a significant impact on the demand for state correctional resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
