IN RE:
HB2368 by Miller (Relating to access to and the provision of behavioral and mental health care services and trauma-informed care in the Medicaid managed care program.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to include in Medicaid managed care contracts provisions relating to trauma-informed care and behavioral and mental health care services under the STAR Health program. The bill would require HHSC to offer trauma-informed care training to contracted physicians at no cost.
It is assumed any cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill can be absorbed within the existing resources of the agency.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
