IN RE:
HB2403 by Goldman (Relating to the regulation of residential service companies and residential service contracts.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
This bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the regulation of residential service companies and residential service contracts. Based on information provided by the Texas Real Estate Commission, this analysis assumes that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. As a self-directed, semi-independent agency, the Texas Real Estate Commission is required to collect revenues sufficient to cover costs, so that any additional costs incurred in implementing the provisions of this bill would be offset by an equal amount of revenue.
The bill would take effect on September 1, 2019.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
