No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize a municipality that created a crime control and prevention district to add all or part of the territory in the municipality's extraterritorial jurisdiction to the district, and to impose a tax in that territory, only if the addition of the territory and the imposition of the tax are approved by an election.
