IN RE:
HB2590 by Biedermann (Relating to the administration, powers, and duties of a municipal utility district.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Water Code relating to certain municipal utility district conversions.  The bill would require that a converting district send certain periodic information concerning legal proceedings to property owners in the district and landowners of property adjacent to that district.

According to the Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), the bill is not anticipated to have a fiscal implication to the State.

Local Government Impact

According to TCEQ, districts that would be affected by this bill could incur additional costs associated with mailing the notice and status of legal proceedings and mailing the notice of the conversion hearing to landowners who own property adjacent to the boundaries of the district.
