IN RE:
HB2616 by Hinojosa (Relating to Texas Community Schools.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
It is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to Texas Community Schools could be absorbed using existing resources.
This analysis assumes that the bill's authorization to seek grant funding from state agencies does not create a new grant program specifically for the program.
Local Government Impact
The bill would establish a definition for a "Texas Community School" and provides campuses with guidelines for programs and services to be offered under the community school model. To the extent that that a school district or charter school chose to operate a campus under the community school model and the related services provided by such a school, there would likely be costs associated with those operations.
