HB2637 by Calanni (Relating to supreme court orders for conducting court proceedings during a disaster.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to provide that an order of the Supreme Court modifying or suspending procedures for the conduct of any court proceeding affected by a disaster be extended until the order is terminated by a subsequent order of the Supreme Court.
 
Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
 
The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
